Ghost Towns and Strip Clubs

I hate the first day back at work after vacation. I'm so very, very tired this evening. But I must tell you about my exciting weekend.

Friday night I went to Posh in Ferndale with Jackie, Beckie and Sarah. We arrived around 11pm and were so excited cause we got a parking spot right across the street from the club! Then we started to notice that there were no cars in the parking lot. We went inside and the place was empty. After we watched some tumbleweed roll on by we asked the bartender if it would pick up and she informed us that Saturdays are the popular nights for Posh. We stayed for a little while and about 5 other people came. So we left. We ended up at The G-Spot which is not a strip club but a bar above Johnny G's with a DJ and a pole in the middle of the dance floor. While I'm on the subject of strip joints, I learned that there are quite a few on 8 mile and they are Tycoon's (at first I didn't understand this name but it turns out I was thinking of the word typhoon), Players, and The Coliseum (I still don't understand this name but I like the phallic-looking obelisks in front). The other ladies schooled me on strip clubs on the drive to Posh. It's a good thing that I have such knowledgeable friends.

Anyways, on the way to The G-Spot Sarah had to pee like a mofo so we stopped at Ye Olde Saloone. When she went in the bouncer made some remark about her being all alone and then when she left 4 minutes later she was like "My friends aren't here." I told her that she should have asked him if perhaps there was another Ye Olde Saloone and she was at the wrong one.

While we were at The G-Spot, some foreign guy tried to put his head on Jackie's boobs and Beckie took him aside and explained that that was inappropriate cause we're in America. Jackie said that the guys in Italy were like that and so I had to explain to her that as much as she wanted to be away from her job and in some foreign country, she was not in Italy and still actually in Michigan. Sarah pretended to be fascinated by the ceiling and her drink cause she doesn't like conflict.

I will post about Saturday night later cause all this typing has made me tired.

To be continued...

Ahhhh... strip clubs, conflict avoidance, and Ye Olde Saloon. Excellent. Cool. Can't wait to hear more.
